Country singer Randy Travis was back in court recently where he was sentenced to 180 days in Jail after pleading guilty to drunk driving in Texas back in August, but the country singer probably won’t spend a single minute in jail, according to TMZ.
Travis was sentenced to 180 days behind the slammer, but his sentence was probated for 2 years, which means if he stays out of trouble for 2 years, he can avoid being locked up.
As a part of his sentence, Travis must also check in with an inpatient alcohol treatment facility for a minimum of 30 days and also complete 100 hours of community service.
He is also required to install an ignition interlock device on any vehicle he drives for two years. This IID device will measure the driver’s blood alcohol level and will prevent the engine from starting if the driver is intoxicated.
If you can remember, Travis was arrested in summer last year when police officers found him lying naked in the roadway after crashing his car in Texas.
