We just learned that Pamela Smith, the woman who filed suit against Michael Jordan for child support claiming that the former pro basketball star fathered her 16-year-old son, has finally dropped the case against the Charlotte Bobcats owner.
According to a report by TMZ, Pamela filed legal documents in the state of Georgia requesting that the judge dismiss her case against Michael Jordan, and her request was granted without prejudice. Its uncertain why she decided to have the case dismissed, but she can always refile at a later date if she so choose.
It comes as a surprise that she dismissed the case, as she was the one that requested that the court order a DNA test right away. There’s a possibility that she dropped the case because she and Michael Jordan has came to an agreement or she simply decided to walk away thinking she could end up loosing in court.
Well now, MJ can get back to planning his wedding and writing his vows for his wedding next month to fiance Yvette Prieto. Pamela’s attorney Randy Kessler tells TMZ … she dropped the case on his advice that “dismissal at this time, without prejudice, is in her son’s best interests.”
