After shocking his family and fans alike when he was admitted into the hospital with kidney failure, rapper and actor Nick Cannon has once again delivered some back news. The show host recently revealed that his kidney troubles is the result of an “autoimmune disease that [doctors] found in my system.”
The entertainer’s health problems came to light after he was hospitalized for kidney failure in January while on holiday with his Wife and kids in Aspen. He was then hospitalized again, weeks later with blood clots in his lungs, which the show host says were directly connected to his kidney infection.
“It’s a lot of stuff, but it’s all in order now,” Cannon told People Magazine at the New York’s Teqa Restaurant and Tequila Bar where he was at an event hosted by him on Wednesday night.
“The blood clot thing was probably the scariest because … I’ve known people who have passed away from that,” said Cannon, 31. “I thought I was getting better,” said Cannon, 31, “and then that happened, so that kind of came out of nowhere.”
Due to his illness, Cannon ended his New York radio show late last month to continue with his recovery process as he was told by the doctors that his kidney condition is “something I’m going to be living with all my life.”
