Singer/Actor, Jamie Foxx recently traveled to the sunshine state for a worthy cause. He traveled to Miami and skipped out on the 2013 Grammys so he could offer emotional support to Trayvon Martin’s parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin.
A ‘Day Of Remembrance Peace Walk’ walk was held in Miami on Saturday (Feb 9) in honor of the local high school student, who was shot to death by a neighborhood watchman after being spotted walking in his father’s girlfriend’s gated neighborhood in Sanford.
Jamie Foxx also spoke at the event offering emotional support to the family of the late teenage. In an interview with NBC6, Jamie emphasized that the family are seeking justice for the death of the teen.
“The thing is with press, and you know how press goes, it will be a hot story at one point. It will be the thing to go to and, all of a sudden, they try to forget about it. And I said I don’t want anybody to forget about this, because they can’t forget about the fact that they lost their son. And the thing is, we’re not asking for anything out of the ordinary. We’re asking for justice.”
