Rapper Flo Rida will have to cough up some serious dough to a concert promoter in Australia because he bailed last minute on a concert in 2011.
The Australian concert promoter hired Flo to appear at the Fat as Butter music festival in Newscastle back in October 2011. According to the promoter, he paid over $50k up front to the rapper to guarantee his appearance on the concert but something went down before it was his turn to perform and bailed on the concert.
The promoter took the matter to court which was ruled in his favor and ordered Flo to shell out $80k in performance fees and damages. After bailing on the event, Flo hit twitter to explain what transpired: “I was looking forward to performing for you but due to unforeseen circumstances I wasn’t able to do so last night.”
