Chris Kelly from ‘Kriss Kross’ Allegedly dies from Drug Overdose

Chris Kelly from Kriss KrossChris Kelly aka ‘Mac Daddy’ who is famously known as the other half of the Kriss Kross duo that brought us the hit single “Jump” in the early 90′s died of an alleged drug overdose. CBS Atlanta reports that Chris Kelly died from a drug overdose, however the official autopsy will be not be done until tomorrow.

A spokeswoman with the Fulton County Police Department said unless the medical examiner finds out something different, it appears Kelly died of a drug overdose. It was also confirmed by CNN affiliate WXIA that Chris Kelly from Kriss Kross was found dead at his home last night in Atlanta. The member of the 90′s rap group was found unresponsive Wednesday evening inside of his Atlanta home, WXIA-TV reported.

Hugo Chavez has died at age 58

Hugo ChavezThe controversial president of Venezuela Hugo Chavez has died at the age of 58, according to reports the news was confirmed by his vice-president Nicholas Maduro. Chavez has been suffering from an undisclosed form of cancer for quite some time and according to Vice-President Nicholas Maduro, it was the US that gave Chavez cancer.

The Vice President confirmed his death in a national broadcast in Venezuela, it was claimed that he passed at approximately 4:25 p.m. Chavez served as the president of Venezuela for 14 years and during his tenure he was accused of suppression of political opponents, especially when the national economy was struggling.

John Ingle Dies; General Hospital Star Was 84

John Ingle died on Sunday (Sept 16) at the age of 84. The actor who is best known for his work on General Hospital was remembered as a “Father, Husband, Grandan, Great Grandan, Brother, Uncle, Friend, Teacher, Inspirer and Mentor” by his family in a touching Facebook post.
John Ingle Dies“May You Soar with the Angels. You will forever hold a special place in the deepest corners of our hearts,” his family wrote. His peers and posted tributes to the late actor via social media, executive producer of the daytime soap, took to Twitter to share thoughts on the passing of the star that brought Edward Quartermaine to life:

Singer-Actor Tony Martin Dies at 98

Tony Martin, who is popularly known for his role in Hollywood musicals, has died at 98 years of age. The singer-actor passed away on Friday of natural causes at his home in West Hollywood, his close friend Beverly Scott revealed to the Associated Press.

Tony MartinDuring his career, Martin appeared in more than 25 films but mostly as the romantic lead, including Ziegfeld Girl, and Casbah. His popularity spanned from the late 1930s through the 1950s when Martin became synonymous with songs like “Stranger in Paradise,” “La Vie en Rose,” “Fools Rush In” and more.

Martin’s first wife, 1937 until their 1940 divorce, was 20th Century Fox musical star Alice Faye. He then married fellow MGM star Cyd Charisse, who danced with such studio legends as Gene Kelly (in Singin’ in the Rain) and Fred Astaire (in The Bandwagon), until her death in 2008.

Sherman HemsleySherman Hemsley who played the role of George Jefferson on The Jeffersons, has passed away at the age of 74, according to Police officials. According to reports, the actor died at his home in El Paso, Texas, police told TMZ.

Hemsley played Jefferson in All in the Family and its successful spin-off, The Jeffersons. He also played Deacon Ernest Frye on Amen. The actor is survived by no wife nor children..
