Hillary Clinton Returns to Work after Health Scare

Hillary ClintonThe State Department welcomed back the Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton back to work today, after been hospitalized for a week from a stomach flu and a blood clot scare.

The 65-year-old Secretary of State was hospitalized after fainting from complications stemming from the stomach flu, and it was also later discovered that she had a blood clot in her head.

Ms. Clinton was admitted to the New York-Presbyterian Hospital on Sunday, Dec. 30 and was released the following Wednesday. This past Sunday (Jan 6), the department released a schedule for Clinton to meet with assistant secretaries this week.

Among those meetings is visiting Afghan President Hamid Karzai in Washington on Thursday and Friday. We’re happy that the Secretary of State has made a speedy recovery, and we wish her the best of health for the future!
