Charlie Sheen has done his good deed of the new year, the 47-year-old actor recently made a $12,000 cheque out the the family of Chris Guerra, the photographer killed on New Year’s Day in pursuit of a Justin Bieber’s Ferrari on a Los Angeles highway.

An insider revealed to TMZ that Sheen is very close with another paparazzi member who knew Guerra well and jumped to their assistance when he heard that the family was having trouble covering the funeral expenses.

“A tragic incident like this erases the line between the photographer and the subject,” Sheen told TMZ. “It’s an unforgiving moment that begs us all to be human and work as one to prevent this in the future.
