Woman buys an iPad at Texas Gas Station; turns out to be mirror

Fake iPadAs the holiday season approaches consumers starts seeking deals so they don’t have to break the bank buying presents for their loved ones. One Texas woman though she had discover an awesome deal and didn’t even inspect the product before coughing up her cold hard cash.

Jalonta Freeman was pumping her gas at an Arlington gas station in Texas, when she was approached by a man who claimed to have iPads and Laptops for sale at a special discounted price. Freeman thought it was a good idea to take advantage of such as deal, by purchasing an iPad from the gentleman, which normally retails for $800, for only $200.

Once the transaction was completed, the man was in a hurry and drove off before Freeman could inspect what she just purchased. It turned out that she purchased a fake iPad, upon removing the device from the packaging she realized that it was a mirror wrapped with paper with the Apple logo printed on it.

Freeman is now the proud owner of a handheld mirror for the price of $200. She has definitely learned her lesson and want others not to buy anything from the streets, no matter how cheap it may seem to be. Check out the news report on the incident below!
