Serena Williams Fiery Tongue lashes Umpire at US Open

Serena Williams could once again find herself in trouble for Tantrum which she displayed while she was under fire during her match against Samantha Storsur in Sunday’s U.S. Open Game in Flushing Meadows, New York. The 29-year-old tennis star who is already on probation fro an earlier incident seemed like she was about to pop a nerve when she disagreed with the ruling of the umpire Eva Asderaki.
Williams yelled “Come on!“, after Asderaki awarded a point to her opponent (who won the first set 6-2) but that wasn’t the end of her tantrum as Umpire Eva Asderaki had more yelling coming her way. Between sets she sat next to the Umpire and told her a piece of her mind, “If you ever see me walking down the hall look the other way. You’re out of control, you’re a hater and you’re unattractive inside,” Williams said to Asderaki.
Once the match was over Williams held her composure and ended up praising Stosur. “I don’t even remember what I said, it was just so intense out there,” she said. “I don’t know. I was just in the zone. I think everyone, when they play, they kind of zone out kinda thing. I don’t know, I’ll see it later, I’m sure.”
On Monday, tournament referee Brian Earley said Williams was under investigation for the brouhaha; her outburst could result in a fine, suspension or even a ban from future tennis tournaments.
Back in 2009, Williams was put on a two-year probation and was fine d $82,500 for throwing a profanity-laced fit against another official during a semi-final (which she lost) against Kim Clijsters.
