As of today, Chris Brown no longer has to stay 50 yards from Rihanna, after a judge downgraded a restraining order Tuesday in the performer’s felony assault case. Los Angeles Superior Court judge Patricia Schnegg downgraded the restraining order for the 21-year-old singer and he can now come as close as 10 yards at entertainment industry events. The judge commended Brown on his progress but says she she would have never considered removing the stay-away provisions issued after Brown pleaded guilty to beating Rihanna in February 2009 without consent from Rihanna. Chris Brown’s probation is not schedule to end until August 2014, so until then he cannot see and speak to Rihanna.
